Loud Noise Complaint Leads To Arrest

On March 19, 2011 at approximately 5:46 a.m., Patrolman Richard Gaylord responded to the 200 block of Chestnut Street on a report of loud noise. Police approached the area and detected the strong odor of burning marijuana. They observed an open window and were able to hear the loud voice of a man speaking. Upon getting the attention of the man, he was advised of the complaint. An investigation led to the discovery of a large brown/green/blue ceramic bong, commonly used to ingest marijuana, that was still warm to the touch and a plastic vitamin container containing suspected marijuana.

The resident, Brennan Plis, age 31 of Roselle Park, was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana) and 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia). He was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date of March 31, 2011.
