Local Photographers Recognized For Award-Winning Work

At Thursday night’s municipal meeting, two local photographers were recognized by the governing body for their award-winning work at the 2018 Roselle Park Arts Festival.

Resident Michele LoManto was awarded Best Photography for her collection titled “Soul Induced”. Michael Peterson – who was not present at the ceremony Thursday night – was Judges’ Choice General Show: Honorable Mention.

When receiving her Certificate Of Recognition, Ms. LoManto said, “I was very proud to represent . . . [as] a Roselle Park artist in a Roselle Park Festival so it really didn’t get any better than that for me except [for] winning this award. That was the icing on the cake.”

The photographer continued, “It was just a wonderful time and I want to thank mayor and council for your support with the Roselle Park Arts Festival for the last five years. I’m hoping that we continue with this because the arts [are] very important for our town. I want to give a shout out to Pam Reinoso because she basically organized it the very first year. Thank you to my husband. I could not have done it without him.”
