Library Offers Free Online Courses To Patrons

The Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library (RPVML) has taken part in Universal Class as a free benefit to library patrons. Universal Class, the Florida-based online course system, provides web-based continuing education courses to schools, libraries, companies, educators, and individuals. The course catalog exceeds 500 online classes with over 40 major areas of study that include:

To take advantage of the service, library patrons can visit Universal Class (link) and sign up by clicking the ‘Join Now’ button on the top right and filling out the necessary information. Once logged in, courses can be studied that provide progress and completion certificates.

It should be noted that a Roselle Park library card will be needed because that number will be need to allow access. Library cards for the Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library are free to residents. To find out more information on acquiring one, residents can call (908) 245-2456 Monday through Friday.

The fees for the program were paid through the re-directed library funds that were previously used for books-on-tape.
