On September 19, 2011 at approximately 1:41 p.m. Patrolman Richard Hernandez responded to the 10 block of East Westfield Avenue on a report of an open door to an apartment.
The complainant stated that at approx 1:30 p.m. she observed a door to a neighbor’s apartment forced open. Patrolman Hernandez searched the apartment and the building for suspects with negative results. A canvas of the building yielded negative results for similar incidents or witnesses.
The resident of the apartment was contacted, responded, and reported that a Dell laptop computer and a jewelry box with several pieces of gold jewelry stolen from the apartment.
