During last night’s Mayor & Council Re-Organization Meeting, Joseph Petrosky was unanimously voted by council to become Roselle Park’s Second Ward Councilman.
Mr. Petrosky will complete the term left vacant by Charlene Storey who was elected to Councilwoman-At-Large in November. In line with New Jersey law regarding the filling of municipal elected office vacancies, the seat is to be filled by a member of the same political party as the previous council member, in this case a Democrat. Mr. Petrosky is the brother of Roselle Park Democratic Committee Chair (RPDC) Dan Petrosky.
With his daughter holding the Bible, Mr. Petrosky was given his public oath of office by Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr.
After the meeting, Second Ward Councilman stated, “I look forward to serving the residents of the second ward and a flier will be going out within the coming weeks to introduce myself to them.”
Councilman Petrosky will serve until the end of the year as the council seat is up for election this November. He can be reached by phone at (908) 666-7821 and via e-mail at jpetrosky[@]rosellepark.net.
