The Union County Clerk’s Office received notification from James McCrady that he has declined the nomination as the Democratic Party Council-At-Large. Mr. McCrady’s withdrawal of the nomination currently leaves only one person – former Roselle Park Mayor Joseph DeIorio who is the Republican candidate – for the at-large seat.
The Roselle Park Democratic Committee (RPDC) has until September 14th to fill the vacancy with another candidate. If none is presented by that time, Mr. DeIorio will run unopposed.
This year, two municipal seats are up for election – first ward and at-large. The general election is on Tuesday, November 7th.
