Letters to 9 of the 10 residents running for various offices in the borough were sent a formal invitation from Roselle Park News for a sit down conversation to discuss their candidacy. Out of the three (3) municipal and seven (7) Board Of Education candidates, only Jeff Regan was not sent an invitation due to an e-mail sent to the newspaper by Mr. Regan threatening harassment (link).
The residents running for three seats on the BOE and two seats on the municipal governing body are (with those who have withdrawn struck through and shaded):

Agron Meshi | ||

Joseph Signorello, Jr. |
The invitations were personally delivered to five candidates’ residences and the rest had their invitations mailed. Each candidate has been asked to respond personally as it is the newspaper’s policy to not discuss such matters with campaign managers, political committee members, or anyone other than the candidate. Once a date is agreed upon, a list of baseline questions will be provided to allow candidates the opportunity to review in order to have a robust conversation.
A list of 35 dates throughout September and the start of October have been proposed.
Residents can also submit any question to ask the candidates by using the submission form below.
The interviews will be published the second week in October.
