International Food & Culture Festival Coming October 16th

The Rotary Club of Roselle-Roselle Park will be sponsoring an International Festival of Food and Culture on Friday, October 16th. The event will be from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m. at the Casano Community Center.

The event invites members of the community to join together for a celebration of peace, friendship, and understanding.

There is still a limited number of free table space for vendors but they are expected to be filled within the next couple of days so those interested in participating should contact Kevin Murphy at (908) 820-0793 or Rupen Shah at (908) 245-9150.

Food sampling from Costa’s Italian Restaurant (link), Vintage Italian Restaurant (link), Dowling’s (link), The Red Cadillac (link), Pinho’s Bakery (link), as well as other international eateries from Haiti and other cultures will be available at the festival.

The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD), the Roselle Park First Aid Squad (RPFAS), and other vendors – including KM Signs – will also take part in the event.

There will also be an opportunity to give in-kind donations for the Rotary Club’s Roselle Park Backpack program at the festival. The program provides backpacks full of supplemental, nutritious food to children who do not have what most families take for granted – sufficient food for the weekend. When a child goes without sustainable food, he or she is at great risk of going hungry. For every $200 that is raised, one needy child will be fed for the entire school over the weekends.

Anyone needing more information on the event or the Backpack program can visit the Rotary Club of Roselle-Roselle Park’s website (link).

The Casano Community Center is located at 314 Chestnut Street.
