The borough’s annual Independence Day celebration is set to go off on Saturday, June 30th from 6 p.m. till 10 o’clock at night.
The celebration will not take place on July 4th due to scheduling conflict and pricing of the fireworks provider.
The event will include fireworks at dusk, food vendors, children’s activities, arts & crafts, movie characters, and a live concert by Face2Face (link).
The gates for the event will open at 5 p.m. with festivities beginning at 6 p.m. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs, and blankets. There will be food vendors on West Colfax Avenue including barbecue, funnel cakes, Italian ice, ice cream, pizza, popcorn, and hot dogs.
For security purposes, all bags will be subjected to search.

The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders also supported and sponsored the event.
Transportation for Roselle Park senior citizens will be provided by signing up at the Casano Community Center. Street closures will be enforced in surrounding neighborhoods and will be announced at a later date.
The rain date for this event is Saturday, July 7, 2018.
