On February 11, 2011 at approximately 11:40 a.m., Patrolman Gregory Polakoski and Patrolman Joshua Medrano observed a green Honda Accord making right turn southbound on Walnut Street into Roselle with an improper license plate display in violation of 39:3-33. The driver was not wearing his seatbelt in violation of 39:3-76.2F.
A motor vehicle stop in the area of Chestnut Street and 2nd Avenue in Roselle resulted in the discovery of two (2) clear plastic sandwich size bags containing suspected marijuana residue.
The driver, Bryan Arias, age 19, of Elizabeth was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia) and motor vehicle summonses 39:3-33 (unclear plates); 39:3-76.2F (no seatbelt); and 39:4-49.1 (CDS in a motor vehicle). Arias was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date of February 17, 2011.
