On June 30, 2011 at about 6:01 p.m., a resident reported identity theft. The victim stated that on June 28th, while reviewing her bank account online, she discovered two (2) unauthorized purchases to her Wells Fargo bank account. Both transactions, which were conducted online from a website, occurred on June 24, 2011 in the amount of $369 and on June 27th in the amount of $178.63. The victim stated that she has made several recent purchases at a Michael’s store and was advised to contact the store for further information. Michael’s was recently a corporate victim of a hacking where customers’ personal information was accessed.
