Home Burglary Reported On Locust Street

On April 22, 2011 at 1:54 p.m., Patrolmen Robert Sobocinski and James Kompany responded to the 400 block of Locust Street for a report of a burglarized home. Upon arrival at the residence, police were met by the homeowner who informed officers that he had been left earlier in the day at approximately 9:40 a.m. and had left the house completely secured. Upon returning he noticed his front door had been forced open. He stated that he did not enter the home but returned to his personal vehicle and called 911.

Officers checked the perimeter of the residence while other officers cleared the home with negative results.

The second floor had been rummaged through and the victim reported approximately $300 in loose coins stolen.

Officers canvassed the area spoke to several neighbors with no one reporting seeing anything unusual or out of the ordinary.
