Home Burglarized On Pine Street

On March 4, 2011 at 3:15 p.m., Roselle Park Police responded to 700 block of Pine Street on the report of a residential burglary. The victim stated that at approximately 11:30 a.m., they left the residence and when they returned to the residence at approximately 3:10 p.m. they discovered the burglary.

No forced entry was observed to the exterior of the residence. Upon entering the residence, police found belongings strewn over the floor and drawers open. The police found a broken knife that may have been used in attempting to pry the locked interior door and a metal spatula which had been bent at a 90 degree angle indicating that the actor may have also attempted to pry the door with it.

The victim stated that several pieces of jewelry appeared to be missing.
