Hispanic Heritage Festival Coming June 18th

Roselle Park will hold the “Hispanic Heritage Festival 2016” at Michael J. Mauri Gazebo Park on Saturday, June 18th from noon to 6 o’clock in the evening.

The event, which is free and open to everyone, will offer a venue for the community to celebrate the rich and festive nature of the Latino culture through a diverse program that includes food tasting, dance performances, live music, Zumba demonstration and more.

The festival will feature local Latino talent including a variety of folk dance groups from different Latin countries such as Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and Colombia. Organizations participating include the Otto Show Dance Group, Mallory Astoria, and the Puerto Rico Society Group – to name a few. Food will be provided by Xpress Cafe Gourmet, El Lechon de Negron, La Kokona Peruvian Restaurant, and La Casa de Rosita.

Mayor Carl Hokanson, Union County Sheriff Joe Cryan, and Union County Freeholder Sergio Granados will be in attendance as well.

The rain date will be the following Saturday, June 25th.
