The Roselle Park Police Benevolent Association (RP PBA) will once again be working with the Roselle Park Post Office National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Branch 67 – also known as the Jon Enz Branch – in their annual ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ campaign.
On Saturday, May 12th, mail carriers and members of RP PBA Local 27 will pick up non-perishable food items.
The donated items will be directly delivered to the two local food pantries – Casano Community Center and Church of the Assumption.
According to NALC’s website, the top requested non-perishable food items are: cereal, pasta, pasta sauce or spaghetti sauce, rice, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meals (such as soups, chili and pasta), 100% juice, peanut butter, macaroni & cheese, canned protein (tuna, chicken and turkey), beans (canned or dry). Items such as beans, oatmeal along with other whole grains, and canola or olive oil can also be donated.
Anyone needing more information can contact Roselle Park Police Department officer and RP PBA delegate Gregory Polaski at (908) 245-2300.
