Dancers Pointe’s new location offers 6,000 sq. ft. and includes a large waiting area, three (3) large studios with custom sprung hardwood floors, mirrors, and custom barres. Additionally, there are (4) bathrooms, a kitchen, a conference room, homework area, dressing rooms, a student lounge, and off-street parking.
Company members will be rehearsing throughout the day and visitors will be able to set up a free trial class for their children from ages 2-8 between 9 a.m. and 1 in the afternoon.
Founded in 1970, Dancers Pointe has grown from a small studio in the basement of a Roselle Park home to five beautiful studios in Union, Morris, and Hunterdon counties. All of Dancers Pointe teachers are adults that are trained through several in-house and external workshops to continue building their techniques to grow their students through progression. Dancers Pointe constantly updates their teacher’s techniques as well as their facilities to address children’s safety and dance education.
The school also offers a traveling preschool program and are currently in 11 locations throughout New Jersey which offers an opportunity to provide their enrichment program to outside locations and provide convenience to working parents where they instruct at local daycare centers and preschools.
To further enrich a child’s dance experience, Dancers Pointe has also announced that they are the new home to Princess Plié and Friends. Children between the ages of 2-6 will join a world of characters in class where they will learn new dance skills while having adventures. Dancers Pointe created the original character of Princess Plie and it is used as part of the dance class curriculum.
Launching this holiday season, Princess Plie will be available Nationwide as a plush doll with a music box that features original music. Plans are underway for a vinyl version of the doll, along with her friends, as well as a storybook.
Dancers Pointe offers both recreational classes and competitive classes for the more serious student. Competitive dancers dance from 1-4 days a week depending on the level of team a student chooses. Dancers Pointe has obtained numerous special judges awards and high ranking awards both regionally as well as nationally in tap, ballet, pointe, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, acrobatics, and musical theatre.
Dancers Pointe has invested thousands of dollars on state-of-the art equipment to incorporate acrobatics into their dancers’s routine, something that is becoming more and more of a requirement in today’s competitive dance industry. Recreational acrobatics and tumbling classes with instructors that are well trained and qualified are also offered.
The studio also offers all-boy tap & hip hop classes, Zumba, birthday parties, acting classes, audition workshops, performance coaching, and vocal instruction.
