Gordon Street Bridge Replacement Meeting On May 19th

A joint public meeting that will include Roselle Park’s Mayor & Council as well as Roselle’s governing body is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19th from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. in Borough Hall.

The purpose of the meeting is to inform residents of both boroughs regarding the project status and proposed bridge design improvements for the Gordon Street Bridge replacement. The meeting is open to the public and will have a presentation by the County of Union as well as a public portion to allow for questions and comments.

The Union County Freeholders voted in September of last year to award a contract for a new bridge design to replace the 103-year-old crossing.

Previously, in 2011, a presentation was held in Roselle Park to present information on the scope and feasibility of the project. A video of that meeting, courtesy of The Concerned Citizens of Roselle Park, is available for review (link).

UPDATE: This meeting was originally scheduled for April 30th but it was postponed.
