The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) will be covering the parking meters in what is commonly referred to as the T-District or Downtown Business Area for the holiday season.
Municipal Parking Lots are already free for the year but street parking meters still collect coins to park along Chestnut Street and Westfield Avenue. Resolution 306-15, passed unanimously at a Mayor & Council meeting, will suspend parking meter fees from December 7, 2015 until January 4, 2016.
The incentive is to attract business for the busy holiday season as is done in other municipalities.
