Council passed Resolution 329-17 at Thursday night’s municipal meeting. This provision will direct the Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) to cover up parking meters in what is commonly referred to as the T-District for the Christmas year-end season starting Friday, December 15th.
The T-District runs along Westfield Avenue from Walnut Street to Locust Street and on Chestnut Street from Grant Avenue to Westfield Avenue.
Municipal parking lots already have year-round free parking.
This incentive to attract business for the holiday season will be in effect until Friday, January 5, 2018.
