Free Dental Services For Pre-Teens February 5th

On Friday, February 5th, the office of Norman J. Schwartz – along with others throughout the state – will be offering free dental services for children ages 12 and under as part of the New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA) program “Give Kids A Smile!”. Services provided will include examinations, cleaning, and corrective procedures such as extractions and fillings. Other, more serious, treatments such as providing fillings or performing extractions may be performed but not all services are provided at each location. Referrals are given on an as-needed basis. Children will also get tips on daily oral hygiene and free toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss.

“Give Kids A Smile!” New Jersey (GKAS NJ) is the largest, single-day program in the state providing free dental care to pre-teens meant to provide services to children who would not otherwise be able to afford dental treatment. It is meant to help children who cannot otherwise afford to see a dentist. The goal is to ensure access to quality dental care for every child, regardless of their social or financial situation and to educate children on the lifelong benefits of proper oral hygiene and healthcare. GKAS NJ is sponsored by Colgate, Delta Dental of NJ, and Henry Schein Dental.

Appointments should be made as soon as possible since time slots fill quickly. Dental Consent Forms (available below) need to be filled out and brought on the day of a child’s appointment. Children will not be seen without a parental consent form.
