On Friday, July 27, 2012 just after midnight, Patrolman Richard Gaylord responded to a residence on the 100 block of East Clay Avenue for a report of loud noise. While investigating the noise complaint at a local residence, Patrolman Gaylord and Patrolman Matthew Hopkins stated they observed five (5) teens sitting on the front porch in possession of beer and alcohol. While attempting to contact the owner and parent of one of the teens, Patrolman Gaylord discovered to that the teens were also in possession of suspected marijuana.
Police arrested an 18-year-old Roselle Park resident Enrique Maron-Cortes and charged him with Possession of Marijuana and Underage possession of alcohol. He was released to a parent. The four (4) other juveniles were also charged with Possession of marijuana and Underage possession of alcohol. They were all released to a parent or guardian pending an appearance in Union County Family Court.
