Fireworks Still On For July 4th

With a 40% chance of rain, Roselle Park’s annual fireworks show is scheduled to start at 9:15 p.m. at the Roselle Park High School (RPHS) field tonight. Attendees are asked to enter through the East Colfax Avenue side of the field and bring their lawn chairs and/or blankets.

Mr. James Vigliotti will sing the National Anthem which will be followed by a few words from Mayor Joseph Accardi. Mr. Edward Leonard, the Borough Bell Ringer, will then ring the community bell from the bell tower at Kelly-Kaulfers Park 13 times to signify the 13 colonies which signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.

Immediately after the last bell, the fireworks show will begin. Residents are encouraged to walk or bike to the event in order to minimize issues with traffic before and after the event.
