Roselle Park’s fourth “Festival of India” is set for Saturday, October 6th, from 5 p.m. till 11 o’clock at night. The free annual celebration of Bharati heritage and culture will be at the Roselle Park High School (RPHS) gymnasium.
The cultural fair will have an expanded program that will include participation from the RPHS students and an education station. Additionally, a documentary about India and its varied culture will be showing continuously starting at 8 p.m.
The event will start with a sampling of traditional Indian food from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the cafeteria. At 7 pm, the festival will offer presentations which will be followed by “Garba” and “Raas”, traditional Indian dances in the gymnasium. Live music will be provided by Desi Beats Entertainment.
