The Roselle Park Farmers Market opened last week and will continue for the next 14 Wednesdays. Located in the parking lot of Michael Mauri Park at the intersection of East Grant Avenue and Chestnut Street, the market offers Jersey Fresh produce, flowers, gourmet pickled products, as well as Amish baked pies, cookies, bread, and honey. There was a steady flow of shoppers.
There would have been more but Chestnut Street from East Grant Avenue to Westfield Avenue was closed due to repair of the crosswalks.
The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Union County Division on Aging were also at the Framers Market to distribute vouchers to eligible Union County senior citizens in order to purchase market items.
The Roselle Park Farmers Market is open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Wednesday from July through October.
