On August 26, 2011 at about 2:58 p.m., Patrolman Kevin Florczak observed a green Mazda conduct a right turn onto Sherman Avenue from East Westfield Avenue at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Sherman Avenue and Madison Avenue. A motor vehicle stop resulted in the discovery of one (1) hand rolled cigarette containing suspected marijuana, one (1) small clear bag containing suspected marijuana, and one (1) pack of E-Z Wider rolling papers.
The driver, Ronald Restrepo, age 35 of Morristown, NJ was charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of CDS), 2C:36-2 (drug paraphernalia), 39:4-144 (failure to stop); 39:3-40 (suspended driver); 39:3-75 (tinted glass); and 39:4-49.1 (CDS in a motor vehicle).
