Failure To Inspect Violation End In Arrest For Piscataway Man

On May 16, 2011 at 2:06 p.m., Patrolmen Robert Sobocinski and Joshua Medrano observed a tan Honda traveling southbound on Locust Street in violation of 39:8-1 (failure to inspect). A motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Locust Street and First Avenue in Roselle resulted in the discovery of one (1) small Ziplock bag with suspected marijuana residue and two (2) hand-rolled, partially smoked, cigars containing suspected marijuana.

The driver, David Meadows, Jr., age 21 of Piscataway, NJ was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of CDS); 39:8-1 (failure to inspect); and 39-4-49.1 (CDS in a motor vehicle).

Mr. Meadows was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court appearance on May 26, 2011.
