On January 5, 2011 at about 12:26 p.m., while on patrol on the 700 block of Galloping Hill Road, patrolman Kevin Florczak observed a blue Honda traveling southbound on Galloping Hill Road traveling at a high rate of speed in violation of 39:4-98. In addition, the vehicle did not have a front license plate in violation of 39:3-33 or an inspection sticker in violation of 39:8-1. A motor vehicle stop resulted in the discovery of a partially smoked hand rolled cigarette containing suspected marijuana.
The driver, Adam Chokov, 22, of Elizabeth was arrested and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana), 39:4-49.1 (possession of CDS in MV), 39:3-33, 39:8-1, and 39:4-98. He was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court hearing on January 20, 2011.
