Easy Fitness With Jeannie To Hold Fundraiser

Jeannie Mendes-Doman of “Easy Fitness With Jeannie” will be holding a Zumbathon on June 7th from 1p.m. to 4 p.m. to help raise funds to file an appeal the denial decision from the Municipal Land Use Board (MLUB) to the New Jersey Superior Court as well as to cover costs associated with court fines totaling $2,910 resulting from a plea with civil reservation from the Roselle Park Municipal Court regarding use and sign violations for her business which was located at 293 West Clay Avenue.

The Zumbathon, titled “Only The Strong Survive” will be held at Christ the King Church, located at 411 Rutgers Avenue in Hillside, NJ. The fundraiser was originally to be held at her business which was located in Roselle Park but was moved due to uncertainty regarding the Superior Court’s decision on a restraint preventing the municipality from evicting Ms. Mendes-Doman before her appeal could be heard. Additionally, when the fundraiser was being planned, the Roselle Park Code Construction Official Jesse Atwell maintained that Mrs. Mendes-Doman had to vacate the premises by May 21st even though an appeal was in the process of being filed.

His planned eviction was postponed when a Notice To Show Cause was delivered to the Municipality on May 19th and then, subsequently, when an Emergent Relief motion was granted by the court on May 22nd pending an Appeal Hearing. That hearing is scheduled for June 2nd at 2 in the afternoon.

Vendor slots are still available for the event. The fee for the zumbathon is $20 and tickets are available in advance. Anyone needing more information can contact Jeannie Mendes-Doman at (908) 258-7020.
