Drop Off, Wash Down, And Help Homeless Veterans On June 3rd

Operation Chillout, in partnership with the Roselle Park First Aid Squad (RPFAS), will be holding a Washdown & Hot Dog event to help New Jersey’s homeless veterans at the First Aid Squad House today, June 3rd, from 10 a.m. till 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

Residents can drop off supplies that are needed by those veterans who have faced homelessness when returning to society after serving our country. Such requested items include:

  • Cases of bottled water
  • New t-shirts (men’s L – XL)
  • New t-shirts (women’s M – XL)
  • Nw baseball caps
  • Sunblock
  • Sunglasses
  • Insect repellant

Families can bring their children and take part in washing down their vehicle(s) after dropping off their donation. They can then have a hot dog lunch.

Operation Chillout is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that conducts an annual Summer Homeless Outreach program from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Last year, Operation Chillout collected and distributed over 26,000 bottles of water as well as 11,000+ t-shirts, caps, and supplies to homeless veterans and their families.

The First Aid Squad House is located at 535 Laurel Avenue.
