On March 15, 2011 at 8:01 a.m., Patrolman Joshua Medrano observed a black Honda traveling westbound on West Westfield Avenue. A random plate inquiry revealed the vehicle’s registration was expired in violation of 39:3-4. A motor vehicle stop of the Honda resulted in the driver, Mannor Tayun, age 42 of Elizabeth, being additionally charged with producing a counterfeit Allstate insurance card to Patrolman Medrano.
Mr. Tayun was arrested and charged with of 2C:21-2.3B (producing a false insurance card) and motor vehicle summonses for 39:3-4 (unregistered vehicle) and 39:6B-2 (uninsured vehicle). He was and released pending a Superior Court date on March 25, 2011.
