Driver Arrested On Marijuana Possession Near RPHS

At about 1 a.m. on May 6th, Detective Disano observed 2000 Buick circling the area near 200 West Webster Avenue. The officer then stopped the vehicle for traffic violations in front of Roselle Park High School (RPHS). According to police, as Detective Disano approached the car he observed the driver, Ryan E. Langston, spraying air freshener throughout the car. Disano then detected the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. As Langston exited the car, several pieces of suspected marijuana fell from his lap. A search of the vehicle revealed a small bag of suspected marijuana and a larger bag containing 96 new small zip lock bags, commonly used to package narcotics. Langston, a 20-year-old Elizabeth resident, was arrested and transported to RPPD. He was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Langston has an appearance pending in Roselle Park Municipal Court.
