Donna Summer Tribute Fundraiser Takes The Stage August 9th

It is going to be a great summer – a Donna Summer – when Rainere Martin takes the stage for a tribute concert fundraiser celebrating America’s Queen Of Disco at 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 9th.

Rainere Martin’s Donna Summer Tribute honors the singer who helped define the Disco era. Rainere will be performing many of Donna Summer’s hits such as “Bad Girls”, “Hot Stuff”, “She Works Hard For The Money”, “Dim All The Lights”, “I Feel Love”, and “On The Radio” among others.

Those old enough to have memories of the Disco Diva will relive the nostalgia of the four-four beat and her strong powerful voice. Those too young to wear bell bottoms and hot pants will have their musical horizons expanded to appreciate the era of synthesizers and the Hustle.

Roselle Park resident Thomas ‘Thos’ Shipley will be opening the show.

Proceeds for the concert will go to the Roselle Park Band Parents Association and RP 24/7.

Tickets for the show – $30 in advance for reserved seating and $35 at the door – can be purchased at Roselle Park 24/7’s website (link).

Show attendees can bring snacks and food. Beverages and refreshments will be available at the bar.

The fundraiser will take place at the Union Elks located at 218 Chestnut Street in Union Township.
