Dates For East Lincoln Road Work Updated

Road work originally scheduled to start work last Friday has been updated to start Friday, October 20th. Additionally, the work period for the project has been cut in half from eight (8) to four (4) days – weather permitting – and it has been changed from overnight to a daytime schedule.

The County of Union will be milling East Lincoln Avenue from Chestnut Street to Galloping Hill Road for road resurfacing. This will require the entire length of East Lincoln Avenue – from Galloping Hill Road to Chestnut Street – to be closed approximately between the hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A detour route will be in place during the project. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through at all times. Access to residences, including deliveries and other services, in the work zone will be allowed as much as possible, according to the County.

Anyone with traffic questions can call the Union County Traffic Bureau at (908) 789-6011 during normal business hours. The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) should be contacted if any emergencies arise.

In speaking with the Union County Traffic Bureau, the work is scheduled for four (4) business days which has the project completing on or about Wednesday, October 25th.

Regular updates on the project will be posted if and when they become available at the Union County road construction website (link).
