Cranford Man Arrested On Possession Of Heroin & Cocaine

On May 14, 2012, Sergeant Dominick Frino stopped a 2007 Dodge CXT for traffic violations near the 600 block of West Westfield Avenue. During the roadside investigation, the driver, Matthew DiMarco, age 24 of Cranford, was found to be in possession of various articles considered to be drug paraphernalia including empty wax folds containing suspected heroin residue, metals screening, and a glass “crack” pipe. A further search of the vehicle revealed glass vials containing suspected cocaine, three (3) wax folds containing suspected heroin, and previously used hypodermic syringes. DiMarco was arrested and transported to RPPD where he was charged with Possession of CDS (Cocaine), Possession of CDS (Heroin), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The passenger, Tara M. Schultz, age 21 of Cranford, was observed trying to discard a tinfoil fold containing a suspected Xanax bar. She was also arrested and charged with Possession of CDS / Narcotic.

Both were released pending an appearance in Union County Superior Court.
