Community Blood Drive On March 24th

The Knights of Columbus Council #3240 will be sponsoring a community blood drive on Saturday, March 24th from 10 a.m. till 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

A healthy and reliable blood supply is important. Every time you read about a serious car accident, beyond the headline is someone who could need a blood transfusion. Whenever you hear about – or know – someone battling cancer through chemotherapy, chances are at some point they might need donated blood. Anyone going under major surgery will most likely benefit from a blood donation. Components of donated blood are separated into its various components so they can be used most effectively according to the needs of those who will need it.

A complimentary cholesterol screening will also available – as well as one (1) scratch-off lottery ticket – to all donors.

Sandwiches and refreshments will be served.

Appointments can be made by calling (201) 251-3703 or by scheduling online at the Community Blood Services website (link).

The blood drive will take place at Lower Chiego Church Hall of Church of the Assumption located at 113 Chiego Place.
