The borough clerk’s office will be open late tomorrow, May 15th, to offer residents who have not registered to vote but wish to do so in this year’s primary election an opportunity to sign up as a voter in the borough of Roselle Park.
Pursuant to Title 19 of State Statute, a municipal clerk has the option to hold extended hours for the purpose of voter registration on the deadline for voter registration preceding an election.
Borough Clerk Andrew Casais stated, “In consideration of the fact that this is a mayoral election year and members of Congress are subject to election, the clerk’s office will be open [May 15th] until 8 p.m. I will be available in the building until that time.”
Additionally, the clerk wanted to stress, “If anyone comes into my office on May 16th I will register them, they just won’t be able to vote in this year’s primary.”
Tuesday, June 5th, is the date for this year’s primary election.
The borough clerk’s office is located at 110 East Westfield Avenue inside the Roselle Park Municipal Complex.
