Christine Young, who for more than a quarter of a century worked at the Casano Community Center as the bus driver along with other duties, was presented a Certificate of Recognition at the April 6th Mayor & Council meeting.
Mayor Carl Hokanson, Third Ward Councilman William Fahoury, and Casano Community Center Director Rupen Shah presented the certificate for her 30 years of ‘dedicated service to the Borough of Roselle Park’.
“I could go and
the things that she has done for over 30 years for this great borough,” said Mayor Hokanson, “Christine treated our seniors like they were her mother, her sister, her best friend. There wasn’t one complaint that I got from anybody about Christine. She is one of the reasons why this town is so great. She’s just unbelievable at what she does down at that Casano Center. [She was] always willing to pitch in, always willing to help to go that extra mile. This is what it’s all about. We’re going to miss you.”Christine formally retired on the first of April after three decades of service to Roselle Park.
