The Casano Community Center is looking for a part-time bus driver to transport Roselle Park seniors to and from home and the community center for weekday lunch, shopping trips, doctor appointments, and other related duties.
The approximately 20-hours-a-week position will alternate between a 2- and 3-day weekly shift with occasional weekend or evening shifts for special events or tours.
Qualified applicants must possess – at a minimum – a valid Class C driver’s license with passenger endorsement; Class A or Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement will also be acceptable. The position will be under the direction of the Community Center Director and must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs., understand oral and written instructions, and possess a good driving record.
The wage for the position is $15.96 per hour.
Key responsibilities and additional requirements include experience in working with the public (specifically the senior population) and should be friendly, caring, positive, patient, calm, punctual, and reliable. The driver will also conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain daily logs.
