The Casano Community Center Food Pantry can help low-income, financially struggling, and working poor families of Roselle Park. The food pantry is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Any resident can take part in the program as long as the following proofs of residency/need are met:
- Proof of income for all households;
- Lease agreement or name of landlord and contact information;
- Most recent mortgage statement or name of mortgage and contact information;
- Utility bills for the past three months.
Additionally, the food pantry accepts donations from residents who wish to help out. Gift cards to local supermarkets are acceptable as well as non-perishable food items, such as:
- Beans
- Boxed drinks
- Canned/packaged fruits
- Canned/packaged meats
- Canned/packaged soup
- Canned/packaged vegetables
- Cereal
- Dried fruits
- Fruit cups
- Macaroni & cheese
- Pasta
- Peanut butter
- Ramen noodles
- Rice
- Soup
- Tomato sauce
- Tuna (canned)
The Casano Center is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. till 8 o’clock in the evening and from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. on Fridays for anyone wishing to deliver any donations.
