Carmen Tailor Is December Business Of The Month

Carmen Tailor was recognized as Roselle Park’s Business Of The Month for December 2017. Fifth Ward Councilman Thomas ‘Thos’ Shipley, along with Mayor Carl Hokanson, presented the award to owner Carmen Morales at the December 21st Mayor & Council meeting.

“Since opening their doors seven years ago in Roselle Park,” said Councilman Shipley during the award presentation, “Carmen Tailor has been providing quality design, alteration, and repair services for men’s and women’s clothing. This award is presented to owner Carmen Morales in recognition of her success and continued investment in [the] Roselle Park business community.”

Carmen Morales came to America in 2007 from Peru. Three years later, in 2010, she started Carmen Tailor. In 2015, she moved to her current location on the corner of West Westfield Avenue and Filbert Street.

“Thank you so much for everything,” Carmen said to those in attendance after receiving her certificate, “It was truly unexpected. I would like to thank everyone in the community. I will always be available and ready for whatever anyone may need when they walk into my store to make them look good.”

After the ceremony, she added,  “I am very grateful . . . to be recognized for my professionalism and endeavor. I promise to continue to help with my services to this beautiful city that has supported from the beginning. Many thanks to every one of my clients and my family for having been with me all the way. I dedicate this to the people I love.”
