Car Burglary Reported On E. Westfield Avenue

On June 27, 2011 at 10:56 p.m., Patrolman John Deegan responded to the 10 block East Westfield Avenue on a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim stated that someone had broken into his vehicle and stolen several items from inside. The vehicle was a 2011 grey Toyota Camry. Upon investigation, it was noted that the passenger window was smashed and the center console and glove box were open. The victim explained that the center console was locked and had been forced open.

The victim listed the following items missing from his vehicle: one (1) grey Tom-Tom (valued at $170), one (1) black Insignia digital camera (valued at $40), and one (1) black leather wallet (valued at $40) which contained the victim’s drivers license, debit cards; and credit cards.
