Yesterday, September 6th, the Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) took reports of approximately eight (8) car burglaries that occurred in the West Colfax-Ashwood-Myrtle Avenue area.
In all of those incidents, vehicle owners reported that their vehicles were left unlocked while parked in the street or in their driveway.
These motor vehicle burglaries are currently under investigation by the Roselle Park Police Detective Bureau.
As of now, it is known that there were three unknown individuals who were in the area burglarizing these vehicles at approximately 3 a.m. that same morning. Residents are reminded to secure their vehicles and remove any valuables from view whether parked in the street or their driveways.
