Burglary Reported On Maplewood Avenue

On March 17, 2011 at 4:20 p.m., Roselle Park Police responded to the 400 block of Maplewood Avenue on a report of a residential burglary. The resident reported they returned home two minutes prior to police arrival and discovered the window pane on the rear door of the residence leading into the kitchen had been broken.

Upon noticing the condition of their ransacked bedroom they left the area and called police. Police searched the residence with negative results for suspect(s). The resident stated they left the residence at approximately 8 a.m. that morning. A bedroom had been ransacked – jewelry and other personal effects were strewn on the bed. The victim reported several pieces of jewelry stolen. The total value is unknown at this time.
