Burglaries Reported On West Sumner Avenue

On Thursday, February 9th, patrolman Mitchell White responded to an apartment building located at 220 West Sumner Avenue for a report of a burglary and theft. The resident stated upon returning home from work that he discovered pry marks on the door frame. Upon entering his apartment, the resident found closet and dresser drawers open. A laptop computer was found to be missing and reported stolen from the apartment. Detective Keith Wintermute responded and is investigating.

That same day, February 9, 2012, patrolman Richard Gaylord responded to another apartment also located at 220 West Sumner Avenue for a report of a burglary and theft. The resident stated when he returned home from work, he discovered his door unlocked. He stated he then found his kitchen cabinets open. The resident reported jewelry and a six-pack of beer stolen from the apartment. Detective Richard Cocca responded and is investigating.
