The borough’s annual ceremony to recognize and honor the men and women who served our nation in the five military branches will take place at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in front of the Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library.
This year’s ceremony will take place on Sunday and will have guest speakers including New Jersey Veterans Network Director Mike Boll and Lamar Maxson, the Commander of Union County Chapter 28 of the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
The service will also include the unveiling of the Purple Heart monument which was donated to the library by the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
Casano Community Center will provide free bus service to Roselle Park senior citizens. Those residents must call by Friday, November 9th, to arrange for transportation. Anyone needing more information can call the Casano Community Center at (908) 245-0666.
The Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library is located at 404 Chestnut Street, Roselle Park. The ceremony will occur rain or shine.
