The Borough Clerk’s office will be holding extended hours tomorrow, May 16th, from 8:30 a.m. till 9 p.m. to allow those wishing to register to vote in this year’s Primary Election.
Andrew Casais, Roselle Park’s Borough Clerk, has decided to have his office open in line with NJSA 19:31-2. This state statute allows for a Municipal Clerk to hold extended hours for the purpose of voter registration on the deadline for voter registration preceding an election. That deadline for the June 6th Primary Election is tomorrow.
In consideration of the fact that this is a gubernatorial election year, and all members of the legislature are subject to election, Mr. Casais chose to enact the option set in New Jersey law.
