BOE To Holds Its Meetings In Schools For 2011-2012

In an endeavor to get more parents involved in Board Of Education (BOE) meetings, the school board has decided to changing the venue of board meetings to each of the schools of the school district for the 2011-2012 school year.

“Every month, we would focus on a different school – focus on some
activities that are going on in that school,” Superintendent Patrick Spagnoletti stated as he described the board’s plan for meeting, “And then at the end of the five months, repeat that process so that every school would be visited twice a year.”

The first BOE meeting for the school year will be held on September 6th at the EJF Aldene School library. Both meetings for September – the 6th and the 20th – will be held at the Aldene School, starting at 7 p.m.

On September 6th, the BOE will then announce the next school to host their next meeting, and will continue to give a month’s notice to inform the residents of where the next month’s BOE meeting will be held.
