At a meeting in December 2010 the Roselle Park Board Of Education (BOE) openly asked that the residents of the Borough submit their requests, proposals, and ideas to the Board for consideration and help in crafting the 2011-2012 School District budget. In January 2011, the Board took their appeal to the public one step further by issuing a notice outlining six (6) dates for ‘Open Forums’ throughout the month of February. The following is a list of dates , locations, and times of these meetings where the BOE budget and other school-district related matters will be discussed:
DATE | LOCATION | TIME |
---|---|---|
February 3, 2011 | Roselle Park High School Cafeteria | 7 p.m. |
February 7, 2011 | EJF Aldene Elementary School | 7:30 p.m. |
February 9, 2011 | Roselle Park Middle School | 7:30 p.m. |

February 22, 2011 | Roselle Park High School | 7:30 p.m. |

These budget meetings will start a process of open-public budget meetings for the Board of Education that has long been followed by the municipal government. Each meeting description is identical, reading, “An open session will be held for the purpose of gathering information from residents for participation of the 2011-2012 Board of Education Budget. No Action to be taken.” These six (6) meetings will be held in addition to the Board’s two (2) regularly scheduled meetings, scheduled for February 1st and 15th at 7pm at Roselle Park Borough Hall.
