The Roselle Park First Aid Squad (RPFAS) is in need for new volunteers, especially adults 18 years and older who live in Roselle Park and the surrounding communities, who can offer their time during days, nights, and weekends.
RPFAS is also looking for young volunteers who would like to join the Cadet Unit (borough resident students only) between the ages of 15½ and 17.
Those who join will be taught to save lives in their community. Not only will recruits learn lifesaving CPR, they will also be enrolled into a class to become a New Jersey Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
New classes are forming in May and June.
The RPFAS squad building is located between West Colfax and West Webster at 535 Laurel Avenue, right behind the Roselle Park High School football field.
Duty Crews are at the building Sunday through Friday between the hours of 7 p.m. – 11p.m. and are available to answer any questions about volunteering. Anyone interested can also telephone the Squad at (908) 245-3470 and leave their name and address to have an application mailed. Information is also available at their web site at www.rpems.org (link).
