August Brings “Art In The Park”

There is an artist in everyone. Whether in a gallery or on a refrigerator, the expression of creation has been around ever since hands sketched memories and inspirations on the walls of caves.

The long tradition of creating something from nothing continues every Wednesday in August with “Art In The Park” at Michael Mauri Park.

The Roselle Park Arts Committee (RPAC) will have four events to give residents and visitors an opportunity to actually create art. The events will be from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. and they are:

August 1, 2018
Roselle Park Rocks!
August 8, 2018
Plein Air Painting
August 15, 2018
Drive-In Movie
August 22, 2018
Endless Summer

This coming Wednesday will let residents and their families create portraits on rock and stones.

The 8th will have artists creating beyond the four wall of an artist’s studio.

A drive-in movie will be on the schedule for the 22nd with moviegoers being able to create and design their ‘cars’ which will be made from old packing boxes.

Roselle Park’s Farmers’ Market will also be open on Wednesday which will have food trucks and produce vendors on site.

Anyone requesting more information can visit RPAC’s Facebook page (link) or the borough’s website (link).

Michael Mauri Park is located at the corner of East Grant Avenue and Chestnut Street.
